Dentures and partial dentures are removable prosthetic appliances designed to replace missing teeth and the surrounding gum tissue. Full dentures replace an entire arch of missing teeth — upper, lower, or both — and are recommended when all or nearly all natural teeth in an arch have been lost or need to be removed. They rest on the gum tissue and are held in place through natural suction and the contours of the mouth.
Partial dentures are used when one or more healthy natural teeth still remain in the arch. Initial Consultation & Examination

Impressions & Measurements

Precise impressions of your mouth are taken to capture the exact contours of your gum tissue and jaw. Measurements of your bite relationship, jaw position, and facial proportions are also recorded — these are essential for creating a denture that fits naturally and restores the proper vertical dimension of your face.

Try-In Appointment

Before your final denture is fabricated, a wax try-in model is created so you and our dentist can evaluate the fit, shape, and appearance of the teeth. This is your opportunity to make sure you are happy with the aesthetics before the final denture is completed. Adjustments can be made at this stage without any additional cost or delay.

Final Placement & Adjustments

Once your custom denture is fabricated, you return to our Clearwater office for placement. Our dentist seats the denture, evaluates the fit and bite, and makes any necessary chairside adjustments. It is completely normal — and expected — to need a few follow-up adjustments in the weeks following placement as your mouth adapts to the new appliance.

Adjusting to Your New Dentures

For most patients, there is a short adjustment period following denture placement. This is completely normal and does not indicate a problem with the fit or quality of your dentures. During the first few weeks, you may experience:
